- Generally a design retainer is required to start estimating the job and to write out the specifications.
- Design Retainers are based on estimated time to draft the project.
- The Retainer is subtracted from the total contract price at the time of signing.
- Once the contract is signed and the specifications and drawings are approved, then the schedule is written.
- A meeting is set to go over the schedule to insure that it works with the client.
- Once the schedule is signed, then the fun begins!
